The Minnesota Timberwolves need more quality frontcourt players, and getting two quality guys while allowing more minutes for players such as Culver, Okogie, and Edwards at the 2/3 might be worth parting with Beasley.

Malik Beasley has been on another level this season. He’s averaging 20.5 points on 46/41/85 splits. Volume on efficiency is exactly what you want out of a starting-caliber wing, but this move is about getting value while also suring up the frontcourt. Aaron Gordon would be an excellent fit next to Karl-Anthony Towns, and Chuma Okeke has shown flashes of being a really nice complementary forward.

The pick makes the deal even more intriguing. The Magic are on the bubble of making the playoffs, and the draft this year has potential to be one of the better in recent memory. Adding a player in the 11-17 range from this class could mean getting another really good young player – possibly with starter potential.
