2021 NBA Mock Draft 1.0: Timberwolves keep pick, Magic load up

9.     Orlando Magic – Franz Wagner, Forward, Michigan

The Orlando Magic already have a (possible) core of Cole Anthony, RJ Hampton, Chuma Okeke, Wendell Carter, and Evan Mobley up to this point. Franz Wagner would diversify the overall skillset of that particular group of players on both ends of the floor.

Franz Wagner plays exactly how his name sounds. He’s a smooth athlete that’s very skilled, especially in the mid-range. He can be creative in how he gets buckets, but isn’t a negative defensively, either. Wagner is a great complimentary player that would help a team that already has two primary ball-handlers (Anthony, Markelle Fultz), and would also still work alongside Jonathan Isaac.
