2021 NBA Mock Draft 1.0: Timberwolves keep pick, Magic load up
11. New Orleans Pelicans – Corey Kispert, Wing, Gonzaga
I know he struggled in the national championship game against Baylor, but Kispert is legitimately an NBA-caliber wing player. He’s a lights out shooter, and, if you’re the Pelicans, that’s exactly what you need – especially with JJ Redick seemingly out of the door this offseason.
Kispert has a variety of offensive skills in his bag and should be able to make an impact from day one. While he doesn’t have the most potential, the Pelicans mostly need to capitalize on this lottery pick by getting someone that has an elite trait and will, at the very least, be able to get rotation minutes as a rookie. Kispert fits those asks.
