2021 NBA Mock Draft 1.0: Timberwolves keep pick, Magic load up

1.     Detroit Pistons – Cade Cunningham, Guard, Oklahoma State

There is no question in terms of who the first overall selection is going to be on July 29. If anyone tells you otherwise, don’t believe them. There is no reason to believe that anyone outside of Cade Cunningham is going to be the first pick.

Cunningham possesses elite size, ball-handling, passing/vision, can score in a variety of ways, and is a high-level on-and-off ball defender. Cunningham is the best draft prospect since Anthony Davis, and is going to almost certainly be a star for any team that selects him – especially the Pistons, who get to pair Cunningham with Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart, Killian Hayes, and Jerami Grant.
