Ricky Rubio

Alright, the first thing that needs to be shown here is Ricky Rubio’s regression from what he was able to accomplish in Phoenix last year.

Rubio’s efficiency fell off of a cliff – his FG% dropped 3.6-percent, his 3P% fell 8.2-percent, his points, rebounds, and assists all fell while Rubio’s turnover percentage actually went up.

Needless to say, Rubio’s second stint in Minnesota has not gone well thus far. And yes, while it is an abnormal season with what was a shortened offseason, his fall as a player has been dramatic.

Rubio has one year left on his contract following this season, but it should be expected that he will be in trade talks this offseason. The Timberwolves are also over-saturated with backcourt players, and with Rubio’s performance this season, it’s likely they attempt to move him before others (most notably Malik Beasley).
