Point Guard: D’Angelo Russell

The Minnesota Timberwolves traded for D’Angelo Russell thinking he would be a franchise cornerstone – someone that the team would have as a perennial high-level starter for years into the future. That vision has become even stronger since Russell’s return, as the duo between he and Karl-Anthony Towns has been great – and looks to be one of the better young cores in the NBA.

D’Angelo Russell has one all-star appearance under his belt and has been largely inconsistent since 2018-19. That said, he has not been in a position that is advantageous towards his development until late this season, where he has shined.
