15.  CLT – Jaden Springer, Wing, Tennessee

Charlotte gets a complementary wing to help bridge the gap between Ball/Rozier and Hayward/Bridges.

16.  MEM – James Bouknight, Guard, UConn

Memphis has a knack for getting great players in comparison to where they selected them. Bouknight should be no exception.

17.  BOS – Usman Garuba, Big, INTL

Usman Garuba is a very solid defensive prospect. He’s a little bit of a tweener, but Garuba is exactly what Boston has been looking for in a center since Horford left.

18.  ATL – Greg Brown, Forward, Texas

The Hawks take another shot at a high-upside wing. Might not work out, but the talent is there.

19.  MIN* – Corey Kispert, Forward, Gonzaga

The Timberwolves need more surfire things on their roster. Kispert helps one of the worst shooting teams in the NBA.

20.  LAL – Jared Butler, Guard, Baylor

I have been begging the Lakers to take a score-first guard with their draft pick for two years now. Butler would be a phenomenal fit next to LeBron – and I don’t think Schroder comes back at this point.

21.  NYK – Sharife Cooper, Guard, Auburn

The Knicks take a high-ceiling player that can get minutes as a point guard. Sharife is exciting – and if he hits, this pick is a steal.

22.  NYK – Chris Duarte, Wing, Oregon

The Knicks ALSO need shooting, and Duarte is a good value wing at this point in the draft.

23.  HOU – Alperen Sengun, Big, INTL

The Rockets aren’t in a position to draft for need. Sengun is the best consensus player available.

24.  HOU – Terrence Shannon, Wing, Texas Tech

Again, most view Shannon as a size-y wing with upside on both ends of the floor. Rockets snag him in the late-first.

25.  LAC – Daishen Nix, Guard. G-League

Nix could be a good project player to learn behind Rondo as the Clippers need a to find a long-term backup point guard.

26.  BKN – Roko Prkacin, Forward, INTL

The Nets love to take shots in the late-first. Sean Marks isn’t afraid of international prospects, and Prkacin fits here.

27.  PHI – Tre Mann, Guard, Florida

Daryl Morey selected three NBA Draft Twitter gems last year. Here is another one, despite the 76ers not really needing another guard.

28.  DEN – Kai Jones, Big, Texas

Kai Jones has to land in a situation where he can take time to develop. The Nuggets have one of the best developmental staffs in the league. Best fit in the first round.

29.  UTA – JT Thor, Forward, Auburn

I doubt Thor gets picked up in the first round, but he has tremendous potential as a energy forward that can play defense and stretch the floor.

30.  PHX – BJ Boston, Wing, Kentucky

Watching BJ Boston last season at Kentucky made me sad – because I thought he was going to be one of the best players in this draft. The Suns take a chance here, and if he is able to harness his ability, could be an amazing NBA player.
