The Minnesota Timberwolves have a budding star in the 2020 first overall pick Anthony Edwards, who is averaging the most points per game of any rookie this season.

Off of the court, though, he has been providing as much entertainment as any other player in the league – seemingly having a notable quote every week.

Edwards is a downright electrifying player – and since the All-Star break, he has been averaging 23 points, five rebounds, and three assists per game on 43/33/76 splits. Edwards has been the only Timberwolves player this year to appear in all 65 games – and is currently the second-favorite in terms of odds for the Rookie of the Year award, only behind Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball.

In terms of interviews, it seems as though Anthony Edwards always has something interesting to say – or show – as he did here, showing off his postgame meal from Popeyes.

Edwards can be wholesome at times, too, giving insight into what players such as Ricky Rubio mean to the Timberwolves.

Regardless of how the Rookie of the Year race ends, it’s clear that Gersson Rosas and the Minnesota Timberwolves took the best rookie for them – one that meshes with the current roster – and that brings lots of upside as a high-volume wing.

Edwards will presumably be on the Minnesota roster for a very long time, as he’s just a rookie with four years left on his current contract. He, Towns, and Russell are going to be significantly better next season, hopefully with everyone on the roster healthy.

Again, though, Edwards is really media-savvy, providing great quotes often. Here are three of his best.
