Minnesota Timberwolves: The Los Angeles Lakers could trade for Malik Beasley

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a lot to evaluate this offseason. That said, this would be one of the more interesting trades that they could entertain. The Lakers seemingly value always improving their roster and getting even more shooting around LeBron James has always been the goal.

The Lakers traded Danny Green for Dennis Schroeder this past offseason, attaching a first-round pick to Green. Here, they move Kyle Kuzma to bring back some of what the Lakers are missing with a wing that can shoot the ball extremely well.

Currently, Los Angeles has Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Talen Horton-Tucker along the wings, but THT does not fit what works next to James, as promising as he is. Getting another 40-plus-percent 3-point shooter could dramatically help a team that underperformed with their two stars hurt for a large portion of the season.

For the Timberwolves, Kuzma would be an interesting piece alongside Karl-Anthony Towns. He is a decent 3-point shooter that can score inside. Kuzma has his days defensively, and has the ability to guard some small and power forwards. Adding him to a rotation that features Jaden McDaniels would finally solidify a power forward position that has been weak for the majority of the Karl-Anthony Towns era.

Additionally, adding another first-round pick in a year where the Wolves may not have theirs also helps.
