Indiana Pacers. James Bouknight. 13. player. 100. . Guard

The Indiana Pacers are a team to monitor this offseason – as in – they may look to tear things down from where they currently are. Or, maybe, they look to add a third option while TJ Warren gets back healthy next season.

NBA Mock Draft: Indiana Pacers take James Bouknight

Regardless, Bouknight could make a lot of sense as a developmental sixth-man that can score using his athleticism and burst upon the perimeter. He’s a bigger guard, about 6-foot-6, and missed a large portion of this past season for UConn. Still, his traits are worth betting on, despite him not being a high-level shooter this past year.

The Pacers already have Aaron Holiday, who theoretically fits the same role. But, as they have gone about the draft in the past – fit does not matter. Indiana typically just adds to their roster with the best player on the board (see: Goga Bitadze).

The Pacers had a disappointing season, and they are going to be in the market for a coach this offseason – so maybe that hiring molds who they select with this pick – which is hard to predict as of right now.
