NBA Mock Draft: The remainder of the first round

15. Washington Wizards – Tre Mann, Guard, Florida State

Score-first guard that makes sense as someone that can play complementary to both Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook.

16. Boston Celtics – Usman Garuba, Forward/Big, INTL

Big man that should play excellent defense on day one. Questionable whether he will be able to play up to NBA bigs.

17. Memphis Grizzlies – Moses Moody, Wing, Arkansas

NBA ready wing that should be a solid role player. Solid on both ends, potential isn’t the highest.

18. Oklahoma City Thunder – Ziaire Williams, Wing, Stanford

Great perimeter defender with shot-making ability. Inconsistent shooter in college, but if he hits – the outcome will be good.

19. New York Knicks – Jared Butler, Guard, Baylor

Jared Butler is going to be an NBA player – and a rotational guard at this stage in the draft is worth taking – especially with what Thibs likes in his guards.

20. Atlanta Hawks – Roko Prkacin, Forward, INTL

Hawks are fine at basically every position. Prkacin is a fun player with upside – a luxury pick.

21. New York Knicks – Kai Jones, Big, Texas

Kai Jones has an intruging skill set – and will be very fun if he hits his top outcomes. Very raw fundamentally.

22. Los Angeles Lakers – Jaden Springer, Guard, Tennessee

Springer should be taken much higher than this – but it seems as though he is going to slide. Lakers get a steal.

23. Houston Rockets – Cam Thomas, Guard, LSU

Thomas has an elite skill – the ability to draw fouls. Exciting guard that makes sense in a rebuilding environment.

24. Houston Rockets – Chris Duarte, Wing, Oregon

By contrast, Duarte is a safe player that adds to their depth along the wings. Should be an NBA player out of the gate.

25. Los Angeles Clippers – Alperen Sengun, Big, INTL

The Clippers could use a developmental big, and Sengun has exciting offensive traits.

26. Denver Nuggets – Terrence Shannon, Wing, Texas Tech

The Nuggets needs more perimeter defense, and Shannon is a bigger wing player that should be able to give them that.

27. Brooklyn Nets – Isaiah Jackson, Big, Kentucky

Isaiah Jackson is a value at this stage in the draft, and could develop to be a high-level rim protector.

28. Philadelphia 76ers – Greg Brown, Forward, Texas

Greg Brown doesn’t get much love, but there is legit potential there. He could be nothing, but he could also end up being a defender that can switch with enough offensively to supplement that.

29. Phoenix Suns – Miles McBride, Guard, West Virginia

The Suns need nothing. They are the complete team. McBride is simply the best player left on the board – someone that could get minutes if one of their many guards gets hurt.

30. Utah Jazz – Trey Murphy, Forward, Virginia

Trey Murphy brings a lot of shooting as a forward with solid size. Coming from a big program, that should be enough to make an NBA player.
