Minnesota Timberwolves: Grading the draft picks that Rosas has made

Gersson Rosas has had something of a mixed bag when it comes to the draft picks he has made as Minnesota Timberwolves general manager. They go as follow:

"2019: 6th pick: Jarrett Culver 43rd pick: Jaylen Nowell 2020: 1st pick: Anthony Edwards 23rd pick: Leandro Bolmaro 28th pick: Jaden McDaniels"

As seen, the Timberwolves have gotten several early rotation players with their draft picks. Nowell was a solid contributor in 2020-21, and Edwards and McDaniels have proven to be worthy of their draft selection spots as well. With Bolmaro hopefully joining the Timberwolves in 2021-22, the Gersson Rosas could be hitting on four out of his five draft picks thus far in his tenure.

The only iffy selection has been Jarrett Culver, who has struggled on both ends of the floor, not having much confidence from range without the defensive ability to make up for that. His career has been disappointing, and he could very well be on his way out of Minnesota this offseason – as his name has been floated in trade rumors (honestly, it may be best for both parties).

Grade: B (would be an A had Culver hit)

OVERALL GENERAL MANAGER GRADE: B

Rosas has had an eventful two seasons as general manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves. It remains to be seen whether it will lead to success.
