The Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Patrick Beverly is a 10-year veteran in the NBA, and he is coming out of his first season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The T-Wolves just made the NBA Playoffs but were shown the door against the Memphis Grizzlies in a series that ended 4-2. That’s not great, but the Timberwolves are building something special.
Throughout his career, Beverly has been mostly a starting point guard. But after the Phoenix Suns were embarrassed by a Game 7 drubbing at home at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks, suddenly he is an NBA Insider and Sports analyst. And he is piling on Chris Paul in a way not unseen before.
Does he have an ongoing feud with Chris Paul? If he didn’t before, he certainly opened himself up to one after this:
Wow. Bench Chris Paul? That seems a bit over the top, doesn’t it?
Hey, I’ve had my share of trolling. It happens in the form of the comments section or on social media, and usually comes in the form of questioning whether I am under the influence of a controlled substance, am dying, and just wanted to get one last article to preserve my legacy in infamy, or a subconscious death wish where my writing is so poorly constructed that the reader/commenter wishes I was dead as mercy killing to my tortured soul.
You name it. I’ve seen it. But the last thing that the young and improving Minnesota Timberwolves need right now is to be embroiled in a feud that began on the GetUp ESPN show. That is just more of a mouthful than they can chew right now.
