3 Minnesota Timberwolves players who should be traded

Taurean Prince (sign and trade) is a young six-year NBA veteran who is a solid versatile forward on the Minnesota Timberwolves roster. The problem? His contract is up and the Timberwolves stand to lose a young contributor just by doing . . . nothing. Prince was drafted with the 12th pick of the 2016 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz but traded to the Atlanta Hawks. In his career, he has played for the Hawks, the Brooklyn Nets, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
While he has relinquished his starting role to become very effective as a marksman sixth-man, he remains an intriguing player who could help just about any team he joins this off-season. He is a solid shooter on the court and from three-point range.
For what? Well, for starters, he could be signed and then packaged with a draft pick package for the Timberwolves to move up in the draft.
We know that the Sacramento Kings are dangling the fourth pick of the draft as trade bait. That would be a solid spot for the Timberwolves to choose from, particularly if they have signed Tim Connelly to the vacant President of Basketball Operations role.
We also have learned per free agent forecast that the Kings are desperate for help at power forward. So a sign-and-trade scenario would be an ideal situation for both the Timberwolves and the Kings. Of course, that is just one scenario. Let’s explore another . . .
