Minnesota Timberwolves Tim Connelly may add key associates to front office
By Bret Stuter
You get by with a little help from your friends. Or so it seems with the recent hiring of Tim Connelly to assume the role of President of Basketball Operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves. It seems that whenever there is a new captain of any organization, there is often a secondary wave of his most trusted associates from other organizations.
So it’s really no surprise that the Minnesota Timberwolves are already back in the mentions of the latest NBA Rumors.
Darrell Arthur is a former NBA Forward who recently signed on with the Denver Nuggets as Basketball Operations Associate.
Dell Demps is the former New Orleans Pelicans general manager who was recently hired on as an assistant basketball coach of the Utah Jazz. Demps was the GM of the Pelicans who was ultimately fired by the team for allowing the NBA Trade Deadline to expire without successfully negotiating a deal to trade Anthony Davis.
Will the Timberwolves have vacant roles for his former associate? Will Connelly create new roles for his former associates? Or is this part of a larger changing of the guard story with management now shaking up the organization’s front office to more closely align with the vision that Minnesota Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly holds for the franchise?
While we cannot answer those questions today, we can at least raise the question now, and track what happens in the days to come.
