Even as nearly the entire Minnesota Timberwolves organization focused on the 2022 NBA Draft, it was just business as usual for a few. Well, perhaps the one? Of course, if you are one of the stars of the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise, and your name is Anthony Edwards, you are given plenty of wiggle room.

But who needs a free pass on a weekday night and a date to work out at the gym?

That’s the life of fame and glory if you are Anthony Edwards, a young man who takes his role as one of the young leaders on this roster quite seriously. Never a dull moment? Perhaps not. But you could say that there is seldom an idle moment.

Anthony Edwards, a.k.a. Ant-Man, is returning for his third NBA season and is already averaging more than 20 points per game. But that does not mean he has arrived just yet. In fact, in many ways, Ant-Man is just getting warmed up.

At 6-foot-4 and 225-pounds, he is both a powerful and quick shot generator, an offensive juggernaut who has already staked his claim as the second star on the Minnesota Timberwolves roster in just two seasons. Now, he is putting in the team to truly take the franchise in the direction everyone wants them to: Straight after an NBA Championship.

While many look for improvements elsewhere on the team, Edwards’ attention starts by turning inwards. He knows that he can improve his perimeter shooting from beyond the arc, he could cut down on his turnovers, currently averaging 2.4 turnovers per game. And like almost all NBA Players, he is acutely aware that he has plenty of room to improve on defense.

But most of all, he knows that talking about it fixes nothing.  So as the Timberwolves front office worked diligently to improve the team into the wee hours of the 2022 NBA Draft, Anthony Edwards did his part to improve the team as well.
