What to track about Minnesota Timberwolves summer league roster
By Bret Stuter
The Minnesota Timberwolves front office has been incredibly active so far since the arrival of Summer 2022. Since the 2022 NBA Draft, the team has be working to fill the summer league roster, re-sign players to extensions, and engage in talks regarding future trade packages and perhaps even free agent signings.
It appears that the team has finalized their summer league roster. So who will be competing for the Minnesota Timberwolves?
Perhaps it’s best if we break down the teams summer league roster, since we have been looking at the additions as announced up to this point.

Despite initial reports indicating that Duke power forward and Minnesota native Theo John had reached an agreement to play for the Minnesota Timberwolves summer league squad, he was not listed on the Timberwolves final roster:
While we do not have a reason for his omission from the roster, as soon as we learn additional information, we will be certain to share.
The current summer league roster is a nice blend of Timberwolves-rostered plays, draft and stash players, and promising players who were not drafted by an NBA team.
While we will revisit this entire roster before during and after the NBA summer league season, of particular note at this point are the centers and the point guards. We know that the Minnesota Timberwolves had drafted both Walker Kessler and Matteo Spagnolo. But I will be watching for how their teammates appear compared to the Timberwolves drafted rookies.
