Two stars

A three wins eight losses career record in the NBA Playoffs isn’t bad for a 26-year-old entering his eighth season in Minnesota. But KAT cannot carry this team single-handedly. No single NBA star, no matter how good, can do so.  And the Minnesota Timberwolves have been fortunate enough to add a second star who is only now rising.

The Timberwolves tumbled after their 2018 NBA Playoffs appearance. But they absolutely tanked in the 2019-20 season, so much so that they were awarded the top overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.  The Minnesota Timberwolves selected Georgia Bulldogs’ small forward Anthony Edwards. In just two seasons, Edwards has already proven himself to be a future NBA star.

Powered by KAT and Ant-Man, the TWolves are back in the hunt for NBA Playoff dominance. Still, the key to the Timberwolves’ success is building around Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony-Towns. That is what the 2022 NBA offseason has been all about.

Ant-Man

Edwards has shown flashes of becoming a future NBA All-Star already He is averaging 21.3 points per game in the 2021-22 season, as well as a rather impressive 4.8 rebounds per game. The 20-year-old put up some great numbers but may have felt a bit disrespected by missing out on an All-Star selection this season.

The Wolves have high expectations for the young star, and Edwards has proven he has the skills to back it up. Although in today’s NBA it takes more than just two stars to win a Championship. So the Minnesota Timberwolves made their 2022 offseason all about finding a third NBA star.
