How can Timberwolves’ #45 overall pick Josh Minott get playing time?

Florida star to star of the North
Minott played high school basketball for Saint Andrew’s in Boca Raton, Florida, where he averaged 17.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game—leading his team to a 3A state championship.
The highly-touted NCAA prospect decided to take his talents to Memphis University. That didn’t work out as well as he hoped, however, as he went from starting to coming off the bench. That resulted in only starting five games and averaging 6.6 points and 3.8 rebounds as a freshman. But he would show improvement.
Not the ideal first year, but during his time at Memphis, Minott was able to show his versatility and ability to contribute in many different ways, from his gritty defensive presence to his potential to grow offensively.
The rookie impressed Minnesota’s front office with his ability to dominate the competition at NBA Summer League. Of course, there is room for improvement, but he demonstrated his ability to defend while shooting 41.7 percent from the perimeter over the span of five games.
