The Minnesota Timberwolves have made a number of high-profile hirings to staff the team’s front office. Well, it appears that the organization may have more room in their front office. At least, that is one of the latest Minnesota Timberwolves rumors being reported by Hoops Hype ace Michael Scotto.

So who is in the sights of the Timberwolves right now? According to Scotto, the Timberwolves have held exploratory talks with former NBA veteran forward Wilson Chandler.

Chandler played for the Denver Nuggets from 2010 through 2018. It was then that his paths crossed with current Minnesota Timberwolves team President of Basketball Operations, Tim Connelly, who was an executive with the Nuggets at that time. It was Connelly who was behind the Nuggets extending Chandler on a four-year $46 million contract in 2015.

Chandler last played in the NBA for the Brooklyn Nets during the 2019-20 season. Since that time, he has been competing in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) for the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions.

The most interesting person you will ever meet

While there are no details on the role the Timberwolves have in mind for the 12-year NBA veteran forward, we can speculate that he could be targetted for a scouting role with the team. Or perhaps a completely different type of role altogether?

Chandler is one of the good ones, an NBA player who is highly regarded and personable. But more than that, he is one of the most interesting people you will ever have the opportunity to meet if you ever do. He learned about the NFT/Digital currency world through the school of hard knocks.

He is an activist, but not someone who seeks power and influence. He is a compassionate humanitarian, a professional who seeks to right the wrongs, speak for those who have no voice, to lend a hand to those who have fallen by society’s wayside. He sees through the mirage of materialism and questions the values in such a way that forces you to pause and ponder.

Wilson Chandler does the right things in life because they are the right things. He is not seeking photo opportunities. He doesn’t rub your nose in the lifestyle of private jets, bling jewelry, or mansions.  Rather, he listens. He speaks from the heart. In the end, he is the type of person who would be an ideal addition to the Minnesota Timberwolves organization.
