A bright day is dawning for Timberwolves PF Nathan Knight
By Bret Stuter
The Minnesota Timberwolves have a solid roster for the 2022-23 NBA season. But thanks to some of the latest Timberwolves roster signings, they are in pretty good shape for the future as well. Such as?
Well, you have to look no further than the recent contract signing to the Timberwolves roster than that of power forward Nathan Knight. He’s been a pleasant addition to the team’s roster and has the potential to make huge strides for the team this year.
The Timberwolves may be focusing on winning now, but that does not prevent the team from strategically keeping one eye on the future. Knight was the last open slot on the roster, and as such he will likely squeeze in as the mop-up power forward for the team. Of course, the 6-foot-8 power forward will likely be happy to play wherever the team needs him to perform.
So far, the Timberwolves appear content with just Rudy Gobert starting, and Naz Reid backing up the center position. In a pinch, the Timberwolves could slide either Nathan Knight in for a small ball lineup or even give Karl-Anthony Towns some playing time at his center position as head coach Chris Finch tinkers with the rotation.
Nate Knight will benefit from the chance to play primarily one position, and that could jump-start his production this season. The team has SF Wendell Moore Jr., PG Jordan McLaughlin, PF Josh Minott, SG Jaylen Nowell, C Naz Reid, and PF Jaden McDaniels all hoping to develop into solid NBA starters this year.
