4. D’Angelo Russell goes off against 76ers

Just three days after Anthony Edwards’ highlight reel dunk against Miami, the Timberwolves were in Philadelphia, where D’Angelo Russell put up one of the best performances of his career to lead Minnesota to a 121-120 double OT win.

He scored 35 points and made clutch play after clutch play during the final minutes of the fourth quarter and overtime, including a game-saving steal and assist with 11 seconds to go in double OT that helped the Timberwolves secure the win.

Minnesota wouldn’t have even made it to the second overtime without Russell’s unreal shooting, as he made two high-degree-of-difficulty three-pointers in the final 35 seconds of the first overtime. It was arguably the most exciting finish of the entire season for the Wolves.
