Timberwolves: Counting down the top 5 dunks of Anthony Edwards’ career
By Will Eudy
5. Windmill dunk in Philadelphia
In November 2021, the Timberwolves neared the end of the first quarter of their contest in Philadelphia. As Furkan Korkmaz made a lazy pass to Andre Drummond, Anthony Edwards sniffed it out and snatched the ball out of the air. Heading the other way, he was all alone and prepared for some high-flying action. Spoiler alert: This won’t be the last dunk on this list to begin with an Anthony Edwards steal.
As he reached the other hoop, Edwards jumped from near the free-throw line and threw down an acrobatic windmill slam to dazzle the crowd. Nearly hitting his head on the rim, Ant paused for a quick flex after the dunk before running back on defense.
The pure leaping power from Ant to throw this one down with such ferocity in-game is why it cracks the top five of his greatest dunks. Even the 76ers fans enjoyed this one.
