3. Lob From D’Lo Against Warriors

It’s pretty clear that Anthony Edwards started last season on a tear, as we’ve got another play from the initial weeks of the 2021-22 season on our list. When the Timberwolves made their first of two trips to San Francisco to take on the Warriors, Edwards showed off his special two-way ability yet again.

Nearing the end of the third quarter, Steph Curry tried to swing the ball to Nemanja Bjelica, but once again, Ant was all over it.

Reading Steph’s pass perfectly, Edwards began to lead the 2-on-1 fast break with Bjelica trailing. He threw a pass to his backcourt teammate D’Angelo Russell, who drew Steph’s attention, leaving the door wide open for a lob. As D’Lo threw it back up for Edwards, he caught and finished it with one hand. With this duo in Minnesota, we can expect to see plays like this for years to come.
