The Minnesota Timberwolves are proud of their new roster, so proud that they are offering an open house. Well, okay, more like an open practice. But this is a real and golden opportunity to get a first-hand look at the Timberwolves’ new roster and see exactly how this team looks on the basketball court.
So what’s the occasion? Per the Minnesota Timberwolves news release, this is all about the team hosting Fan Fest, a Timberwolves fan appreciation event sponsored by the Mayo Clinic and scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 2:00 pm CT at Target Center. So who is excited about the event?
None other than Timberwolves PG D’Angelo Russell, who took to Twitter to share his enthusiasm:

Get your tickets and plan to attend early
Fans are limited to a maximum of six tickets per request, so be sure to put in your order early. While the tickets themselves are free, there is a $1.00 per ticket processing charge. Tickets are not eligible for resale, so please only request the number of tickets you plan to use.

If you plan to attend, here is the itinerary for the event:
2:00 pm CT – Doors open.
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm CT – On-court pre-practice contests
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm CT – Shop new merchandise including the latest Statement Edition Collection at the Timberwolves Team Store in the Target Center
3:00 pm CT – The team takes the court
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm CT – Timberwolves open practice
You will want to arrive early to get the best seats because you will want to see just how well the team’s starting five plays as a starting unit.
This is a huge year for the Timberwolves and for D’Angelo Russell. Not only are expectations significantly higher for the team this year, but this is the final year of D’Angelo Russell’s contract. D’Lo will need a good year to persuade the team to re-sign him, and showing up large to the public during an open practice is a great way to start off the new season.
