How Minnesota Timberwolves D’Angelo Russell got his groove back

Russell responds
When the 2021-22 NBA season ended, the future of DLo with the Timberwolves was in serious question. Several teams were nearly instantly rumored to be making a significant push to pry Russell away from the Timberwolves, and the way that the Timberwolves postseason ended so quickly, many expected the Timberwolves to seek change at the point guard position.
But the team shocked everyone by acquiring Gobert, and in the process, adding an All-Star center whose skillsets are nearly custom-made to work with and suit the needs of D’Angelo Russell. Rather than part ways with Russell, the Timberwolves delivered a shiny brand new team and then handed him the keys to drive in through the 2022-23 NBA season. The only question is, will it make a difference?
Well, that appears to be gaining some traction with Timberwolves veteran point guard D’Angelo Russell. And that’s a very positive sign. He has already begun to show up as the leader of this team. That role is quite fitting for the team’s PG:

Fan Fest 2022
At the 2022 Minnesota Timberwolves Fan Fest held on October 1, 2022, D’Angelo Russell was clearly excited in front of the fans and for his team
Tea leaves? Tarot cards? Crystal Balls? The interest in foretelling what the future may hold has prompted many tricks and gimmicks over the course of time.
I won’t pretend to ‘know’ the future of the Minnesota Timberwolves. But I do believe that D’Angelo Russell is excited this season, perhaps more excited than at any time in his NBA career. That’s enough for me. I think the Timberwolves are onto something this year. How can I tell? D’Angelo Russell got his groove back.
You can tell the temperature of the evening air by listening to the cricket chirps. Well, you can tell how hot the Minnesota Timberwolves roster is by D’Angelo Russell. And yes, fans, he is chirping a mile a minute.
