The Minnesota Timberwolves will return to the court Wednesday night for their second of two straight matchups with the San Antonio Spurs. After taking a surprising beatdown from the Spurs on Monday, the Timberwolves will look to bounce back against an inferior team.

With an extra day of rest between games, Minnesota will be much fresher for Wednesday’s contest than they were on Monday, when they were playing on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Timberwolves will play their fifth straight game against a projected Western Conference lottery team. Even though Minnesota is still learning how to play well with each other, it will be crucial for them to not waste opportunities against these less talented teams.

Timberwolves vs. Spurs Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have Minnesota as -9 point favorites against the spread. The Timberwolves are -375 on the moneyline, with the Spurs coming in at +300.

The over/under for the matchup is 231.0. Through four games, the Timberwolves are averaging 115.8 points per game, while the Spurs are averaging 117.0.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction

The Timberwolves will be playing their fourth home contest in five total games this season, and they’ll be taking on the Spurs in the second contest of their mini-series.

Similar to their games against the Thunder, they’ll be playing another opponent for the second time in less than a week. After being embarrassed by San Antonio earlier in the week, Minnesota will have the revenge factor on their side in this one.  There’s no doubt they want to right their wrongs after getting booed by their home crowd on Monday.

One big catalyst to that happening could be a bounce-back game from Anthony Edwards. After scoring just nine points against the Spurs in their first meeting, look for him to return to typical form and possibly log another 30-point game.

Rudy Gobert will likely have a better outing this time around as well. Whether he imposes his defensive presence early or not could set the tone for the rest of the game. If Minnesota’s stars can focus on winning their individual matchups and return to their usual level of production, this should be another Timberwolves win.
