If you are the Minnesota Timberwolves, you may or may not be aware of the latest news regarding their G-League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves. But if you are center Luka Garza, small forward Wendell Moore, or power forward Josh Minott, you most certainly are. These three are currently competing on the Iowa Wolves’ roster. So it’s about time to check in on them, right? It could make you smile a bit, to tell you the truth.
That is due to the fact that Luka Garza is heating up the G-League already, while both Wendell Moore Jr. and Josh Minott are on loan to the Wolves for the time being to ensure that they get plenty of playing time.
So how are they performing for the Iowa Wolves? In a word? Great.
The NBA plays a long schedule, but the presence of the G-League has helped teams manage rosters with sufficient depth to meet the grueling demands of an 82-game schedule. But the ability to play basketball in an additional 28 cities is an ideal way to market the sport to places that may be beyond the radius that families will travel to see an NBA team play.
So how are the Timberwolves players performing? How are the Iowa Wolves performing?
Right now, the Iowa Wolves are 2-2, having won a two-game series against the Sioux Falls Skyforce, but dropping two against the Windy City Bulls.
