5 Players Anthony Edwards should be ahead of in recent Top 100 List

4. Dejounte Murray
The former San Antonio Spurs guard is enjoying a change of scenery this season, joining Trae Young’s backcourt in Atlanta during the summer. Dejounte Murray is one of the best two-way guards in the league, and he earned his first All-Star appearance with San Antonio last season.
Measuring Murray against Anthony Edwards is a bit of an apples to oranges comparison. One was the first pick in his draft with all the talent and expectations in the world to his name. The other was selected 29th overall and was not guaranteed to even become a rotational NBA player.
While Dejounte Murray’s story is an admirable one and he certainly deserves recognition for his continued development, his talent is simply not on par with that of Anthony Edwards. Murray may have earned an All-Star selection before Edwards, but he also had four additional seasons in the NBA before Ant entered the league.
Dejounte has significantly improved his outside shot and become an assassin from mid-range, while maintaining his defensive prowess and grabbing up every loose ball that comes his way. But Edwards simply entered the NBA several notches up the ladder from Murray from a talent standpoint.
It is true that Murray has made major strides in his game, but he has not done enough to match Anthony Edwards yet. Ant’s offensive repertoire is still deeper and his ability to carry a team to success far outweighs Dejounte’s.
