The Timberwolves have not been very good in the third quarter, this season, as ESPN reports the team has been outscored by 106 points. But in January 2023, the Timberwolves have turned the corner, as Anthony Edwards has led the team to a plus-26 scoring in the past 15 games, and helped the Timberwolves to an 11-4 record.

These same two teams will regroup, and face off again on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Target Center. While the NBA Western Conference leaders, the Denver Nuggets (34-16) and the Memphis Grizzlies (31-18) have sizeable leads, the rest of the NBA Western Conference teams with NBA Playoff aspirations are bunched up:
