Will the Minnesota Timberwolves make any more roster moves? Perhaps. After all, the NBA has a nearly exclusive hold on one of the most intriguing manners of redistributing NBA veteran players to jump off the roster of struggling teams for a chance to sign on with an NBA contender. That happens in a process known as the NBA Buyout Market.

It is the last chapter of roster building that NBA teams now have, and it involves the agreed-upon arrangement by which the original team and the player agree on a compensation point that will result in that player becoming an NBA Free Agent. The team wins because that buyout is typically a discounted price of the original contract.
