The Timberwolves bring a three-game losing streak into a matchup tonight with the Clippers, who have lost five of their last seven themselves. Minnesota dominated Los Angeles 128-115 last month and will aim for a similar result tonight.

I’ve got three bold bets to score some cash and Caesars Sportsbook is helping the cause with a spectacular promo: bet insurance of up to $1,250! Once you’ve secured your bonus bet, here’s how I’m betting on tonight’s Timberwolves vs. Clippers matchup:

3 Bold Predictions for Timberwolves vs Clippers

Sitting with the No. 9 seed in the Western Conference, Minnesota wants to avoid the Play-In Tournament if at all possible. That means picking up upset wins like tonight, so we should expect a locked-in Timberwolves squad against this dangerous Clippers team.

1. The Game Goes Under the Total

The total went under in each of Minnesota’s last three games and I expect another low-scoring affair tonight. Both of these teams are excellent defensively with some offensive question marks, specifically when matched up against each other.

Over the last 15 games, the Timberwolves rank ninth in defensive rating (112) but just 21st in offensive rating (111.9). In that same time period, the Clippers are 22nd in pace.

Thus, we should see a slow-paced, defensive-oriented game that goes under the total.

2. Rudy Gobert Has a HUGE Night

Gobert is on a nice stretch of play. He’s got a double-double in four straight games, clearing this prop in three straight. I think that strong performance continues against the Clippers.

The last time these teams played, Gobert had 25 points and 21 rebounds in a dominant game. In fact, he’s had at least 15 rebounds in six of his last seven games against Los Angeles. He excels in this matchup and you can take his overs with confidence.

3. Anthony Edwards Struggles

I genuinely don’t understand why this points prop is so high. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are exceptional perimeter defenders, and Edwards hasn’t performed well against them in the past.

In nine career games against the Clippers, Edwards averages just 18.2 points per game and has never cleared this prop. In two games against Los Angeles this season, he has 24 total points.

Anthony Edwards’ points under is my favorite bet in this game.
