Mickey D’s golden defense, and more
Just look at rising star Jaden McDaniels, for example. He should be in the running for defensive player of the year. McDaniels has a defensive rating of 115.5 this season. He can guard the best player on the opposing team, Whether that be LeBron James or Kevin Durant.
Offensively, McDaniels has improved playing alongside Gobert and Slow Mo (Kyle Anderson). Averaging just under 20 points a game, including 4.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 0.9 blocks

McDaniels has been on fire of late. Not only is he ramping up his defense into NBA Playoff mode, but he is digging into himself to find new and innovative ways to score, something that has eluded him in the past.
In fact, Jaden McDaniels is now the fifth-leading active scorer on the team, and his production in the month of March 2023 proves that there is even more scoring where that came from. Not only is he scoring 4.2 points per game more than his season average, but he is nailing his perimeter shooting at a phenomenal 44.2 percent clip for the month.
