With their latest road win against the Golden State Warriors, the Minnesota Timberwolves (38-37) have crept above that all-too-familiar .500 record. Now, the question is, for how long? That is a question that few have a definitive answer to, as the Timberwolves’ success can flip on a dime and reverse course suddenly.

But before there is any chance of that happening, take a very brief moment to bask in the fact that three out of four NBA games that impact the Timberwolves’ postseason chances all fell in their favor:

Sunday had plenty of good news, indeed.

The Timberwolves need more than luck on Monday

Is fortune turning around for the Timberwolves? From the latest information, the team has already seen indications of an even more difficult Monday schedule.  The bad news is that the Minnesota Timberwolves must do this one without Karl-Anthony Towns, who has been ruled out due to load management of his recovering calf muscle strain. That is due to the second game of back-to-backs, and the Timberwolves want to ensure no relapse while he builds up his injured calf:

Today, the Minnesota Timberwolves (38-37) must stay on the road and face the Sacramento Kings (45-29). The Timberwolves are currently on a three-game winning streak, while the Kings are on a two-game winning streak of their own.

Also in the NBA schedule today, the Dallas Mavericks (36-39) travel to face the Indiana Pacers (33-42), the Phoenix Suns (39-35) must travel to face the Utah Jazz (35-39), the New Orleans Pelicans (37-37) must take on the Portland Trail Blazers (32-42) in Portland,  and the Chicago Bulls (36-38) travel to confront the LA Clippers (39-36)
