Win or lose Game 2 in Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs against the Denver Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves have at least two more games against the NBA Western Conference top-seeded team. If the Timberwolves shock the NBA, the homecoming will be a welcome return to play before the homecourt fans. If the Timberwolves fall behind by a record of 0-2, then the return to Target Center will take on a completely different dynamic altogether.

Extreme urgency.

Of course, the Timberwolves NBA Playoff schedule follows the same NBA Playoff schedule that has been enforced over any best-of-seven series for many years. The playoff format is 2-2-1-1-1, or two home games for the higher-seeded team, two home games for the lower-seeded team, and then an alternating pattern of one game apiece until one team wins four games. So what does the remaining Timberwolves NBA Playoffs schedule look like?

With the Denver Nuggets leading in this series with a record of 1-0, they still maintain a chance of a four-game sweep. For this Round 1 series to advance to a Game 5 or beyond, the Minnesota Timberwolves will need to win some games. How?  We have already highlighted 3 ways the Timberwolves can get a win in Game 2 on Wednesday Night.

But when are the other games scheduled?

The Timberwolves will play at least two games at Target Center. If the Timberwolves can win one out of the first four games, the series will extend to five games. If the Timberwolves can win two of the first five games, then the series will extend to six games, and the team will compete at Target Center for a third Time.

To play a seventh game, both teams must win three games apiece through six games. Then, and only then, will a seventh and final game be played at Denver to determine the series winner.

The Timberwolves Playoffs schedule is set, but the outcome of each of the remaining six games has yet to be determined. It only takes one win to change the momentum in this series. Let’s hope that the Minnesota Timberwolves tie things up in Denver, shifting the momentum to the Timberwolves advantage.
