The 2022-23 season is officially finished for the Minnesota Timberwolves. After an injury riddled season that saw the team experience ups and downs in adapting to change, Wolves fans may be disappointed, but there is no doubt still pride for how this group overcame much of the adversity they faced.

While Minnesota prepares for the offseason, the NBA Playoffs roll on, and everyone from fans to the NBA players themselves are keeping up with the action. The most vocal players such as Kevin Durant are known for putting out their thoughts and reactions live on social media.

In the last week, one player in the league has had the Minnesota Timberwolves on his mind several times: Kyle Kuzma. The Washington Wizards wing decided to give his opinion on a debate about the best defensive player, giving Jaden McDaniels some deserved recognition.

Kyle Kuzma has had some positive things to say about Timberwolves players on Twitter.

For Kuzma to say he believes McDaniels is a better defender than the likes of Lu Dort and Alex Caruso is a sign of major respect. One day after this, Kuzma again commented on a Timberwolves player, this time chiming in on Rudy Gobert’s surprising fadeaway jumper in Minnesota’s Game 3 against the Nuggets.

A few minutes after that tweet while still watching the game, he voiced his opinion on Kyle Anderson aka “SloMo,” calling him a “winning player.” Timberwolves fans are aware that not everyone appreciates Anderson’s unique game, but seeing this praise from Kuzma is certainly a nice change of pace with how most of the mainstream media talks about Minnesota.

Kuzma’s tweets could be a sign of things to come.

For a player like Kyle Kuzma, watching basketball and tweeting about it like any other fan is in his nature. Not all the players in the NBA are big time basketball fans, but for guys like Kuz, it just comes naturally.

As a result, Kyle’s tweets may not be anything to write home about. But on the other hand, the Wizards forward is heading into the last year of his contract with Washington with a player option. This means he can opt into the final year of the contract, or opt to hit free agency a year early.

After a career year for Kuzma, he may very well decide to consider other options this summer, and the Timberwolves could potentially be on the table for him. He is a player that Minnesota will want to monitor closely, especially after these tweets.
