Heading into his fourth year in the NBA, it is clearer than ever that Anthony Edwards is on a path to greatness. After showcasing his raw scoring talent and supreme athletic ability early on in his career, Edwards truly hit his stride this past season and took the fabled “year three leap.”

Now, he is the Minnesota Timberwolves’ best player, and looks to be the driving force behind a team with more than just playoff aspirations. It is becoming more and more obvious that Minnesota will go as far as Ant Man takes them in this era.

We have already seen basketball legends like Kevin Garnett show their appreciation for Edwards’ unique talent. Ant’s potential as one of the best players in the league is no longer a well-kept secret. But recently, even Stephen Curry spoke out about Anthony Edwards and lauded his skill.

Anthony Edwards’ greatness is now widely recognized in the basketball world.

Curry and Edwards are obviously no strangers to each other, as they have been competitors in the NBA for three straight seasons now. With the Timberwolves and Warriors both in the Western Conference, they have been able to see plenty of each other on the court.

But Curry recently revealed that he has known of Ant’s greatness since long before he entered the league. In 2018, Edwards attended Curry’s basketball camp along with other notable high-level prep basketball stars.

When talking about the camp in an interview, Steph was asked if any players from the camp stood out as someone with a chance to be special. He did not mince words with his answer. “Anthony Edwards for sure,” said Curry.

Steph Curry recognized Ant’s talent all the way back in 2018.

In talking about what made Edwards stand out, Curry noted that Ant simply had a different demeanor and competitive presence than his peers. “There were just plays he made that nobody else really could,” said Steph.

It certainly takes a well-trained basketball mind to recognize winning attributes in such young players, but Steph Curry knew what he saw in Anthony Edwards from day one. His alpha mentality and athletic talent did not go unnoticed by the four-time NBA champion.

The more high-level basketball figures like Kevin Garnett and Steph Curry speak earnestly about what they see in Anthony Edwards, the more Minnesota Timberwolves fans should be ecstatic for the future. The Wolves have a future all-time great on their hands, and we get the privilege of watching him grow up right in front of our eyes.
