3 most difficult national TV games on Timberwolves schedule

2. at Phoenix Suns on April 5 (NBATV)
One of the biggest developments at the trade deadline last season was the Phoenix Suns acquiring Kevin Durant. It was a move that turned them from a contender into one of the favorites to win the NBA championship. They were the only team to win more than a game against the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 playoffs.
The Timberwolves will get three games against the vaunted Suns in 2023-24, with two of the three contests coming in April, within the last six games of the regular season. The game at Phoenix on April 5 will come during a miniature west coast road trip, with the Wolves facing off with the Lakers in Los Angeles two nights later.
If the coming season is anything like the last one, there will no doubt be heavy playoff implications in this one. It will likely be a scenario where the Timberwolves need every win they can get down the stretch of the season to secure favorable playoff seeding.
The superstar wing trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal will certainly be a different monster than anything else Minnesota faces this season. But with the length and versatility Minnesota has defensively in guys like Jaden McDaniels, they should be up for the challenge.
