Winner: Jordan McLaughlin

It has been a while since Timberwolves fans were impressed by what they saw from Jordan McLaughlin on the court. But thankfully, that time has finally returned. After a very rough season last year, J-Mac is back to his old winning ways.

He capped off preseason with an 11-point, four assist outing on 4-for-5 shooting. It was his final performance in what was about as close to an A+ preseason as McLaughlin could have had.

Throughout the four games he played in, J-Mac looked re-energized and was once again making smart decisions with the ball. He took smart shots and found his teammates effectively. In just two short weeks, he completely reversed the narrative that he was on his way out of town in Minnesota.

We will see if that continues for the regular season. But for now, McLaughlin is in a very good spot. His injuries last year led to him missing significant time on the court. As a result, he fell out of his natural rhythm and struggled tremendously when he did come back.

Fans rightfully questioned if he could recapture the high level of play he exhibited back in the 2022 playoffs against Memphis. Now, it looks like he is well on his way to doing just that.
