  • 46-36 record
  • Playoff finish: Lost first round vs Grizzlies

One of the most memorable teams in franchise history played two seasons ago in Minnesota. In Anthony Edwards’ second professional season, he began to show that he could truly be one of the league’s next big stars.

While rocking one of the cleanest jersey designs in Timberwolves history, this team aged like fine wine and improved gradually as the year went on. After holding a record of just 24-25 at the end of January, Minnesota went 22-11 to finish out the regular season.

It was not just the numbers in the win column that made fans love this team so much. With Patrick Beverley acting as the team’s defensive enforcer, they took the floor each night with a certain confidence and aura that gave them a unique edge.

While they ultimately fell short to the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in the playoffs, there is little question this was one of the greatest teams in Timberwolves history. They set the stage for the Anthony Edwards era to officially begin with his first playoff appearance, and they put the league on notice that they would not be going away any time soon.
