With eight games remaining in the regular season, the Minnesota Timberwolves still somehow have a chance to secure a top six seed for the playoffs and avoid the Play-In. Will they do it? It all depends on which version of the Wolves shows up on a nightly basis. Will we get the version that won two out of four against the Oklahoma City Thunder, or the one that dropped a gimme game to the New Orleans Pelicans two weeks ago?
What we can say for sure is that last time out was a good tune-up game to get this team back to form. Minnesota has consistently played well against the Phoenix Suns as of late, having won their last eight against their Western Conference rival. They dominated that contest even with Anthony Edwards suffering a nasal contusion during the game. Now, the question is whether Edwards will be ready to go in Sunday's matchup with the Detroit Pistons.
Is Anthony Edwards playing against the Pistons?
In Minnesota's latest injury report released on Saturday, Edwards was not listed. All indicators are that he will be good to go, barring an unforeseen setback.
After a hot start to the month of March, Edwards has encountered a bit of a cold streak, not scoring over 20 points in his last three games. He shot just 41.7% from the floor during this stretch. The Pistons may be coming in to the game with a couple of players missing, so this could be a good opportunity for Ant to find his rhythm once again.
