Fans of the Timberwolves should be thankful they have a beat reporter like Jon Krawczynski, who writes for The Athletic (also covers the NFL’s Vikings). The thing I appreciate about him is that you can expect an article to come out the following morning after every one of the Timberwolves’ games. Not all of The Athletic's NBA reporters do that.

Krawczynski also has his podcast, The Jon Krawczynski Podcast, where a new episode comes out most weeks. On Monday, he announced two guests for his live show on Saturday: head coach Chris Finch and guard Bones Hyland.

Podcast taking place at HeadFlyer Brewing

On Saturday, December 20, The Jon Krawczynski Podcast will air live at the brewery HeadFlyer Brewing in Minneapolis. Fans can sit down, enjoy some food and drink, and listen to the musings of Krawczynski and his guests.

Finch is in the middle of his fifth full season as Minnesota’s head coach. Despite leading the Timberwolves to back-to-back conference finals appearances, some fans weren’t pleased with him earlier in the season, especially after seeing the team have complete meltdowns against the Suns and Kings in consecutive contests.

For much of the season, the 25-year-old Hyland has been out of the rotation. That changed on December 8, when Hyland received the playing time normally allotted to Rob Dillingham. Hyland scored 14 points in 16 minutes in that outing against the Suns.

With both Anthony Edwards and Mike Conley missing the last two games, Hyland has been in the starting lineup. The 6-foot-2 guard had an injury scare that forced him to leave early last Friday, but he was back with the starters in the following game.

Have two more games before podcast episode

The vibes will certainly be excellent at The HeadFlyer Brewing on December 20. They will be even more immaculate if the Timberwolves’ winning ways continue.

Minnesota has won seven of its last eight games and is one outing into its current five-game homestand. At 17-9, they are currently sixth in the Western Conference, but just two games behind the second-place Nuggets. By the time that The Jon Krawczynski Show airs, the Timberwolves will have played two more games. On Wednesday, they take on the Grizzlies. Friday will see them square up with the defending champion Thunder.

It will be fun for fans to go regardless, but can you imagine the electricity at The HeadFlyer Brewing on Saturday if it’s the day after a win against Oklahoma City?
