It has been an up-and-down affair for the Minnesota Timberwolves as of late. The team has logged multiple wins over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the last month, while still dropping games like Friday night's to the Utah Jazz. Then, in true Minnesota fashion, they turn around and demolish the Phoenix Suns two nights later. Such is what fans have come to expect from the Timberwolves experience.
But perhaps the biggest reason the Wolves' inconsistency as of late has been understandable has been their injury situation. Up until last week, Minnesota had been missing Donte DiVincenzo since the middle of January, and Julius Randle missed the entire calendar month of February. Rudy Gobert still remains sidelined with a back issue, and things have been far from fluid in this time frame with so many injuries plaguing the locker room.
With that in mind, it appears that Chris Finch decided to call a meeting with his players before the game against Phoenix to address some things relating to this situation. Star Tribune's Chris Hine reported on this situation, comparing it to a similar meeting the Timberwolves' coach arranged back in January.
Had to run to the airport, then write, so few tweets, but Chris Finch had another meeting with the team in Phoenix. He did this in January too. How the team needs to stick together as roles, minutes, shots may decrease for some people moving forward with guys coming back.

Finch called meeting with players before win at Suns
According to Hine, Finch addressed a few things at the meeting with his team. He talked about how the team needs "to stick together as roles, minutes, shots may decrease for some people moving forward with guys coming back."
This was obviously a wise conversation to have, and the players seemed to receive the message well. "Finchy said some great things today in the meeting about just being a team, not letting anything make us dysfunctional and draw us away from each other," said Anthony Edwards. "I think we took what he said and carried it over to the game.”
Clearly, something resonated about Finch's message, as Minnesota came out and played some fantastic basketball on their way to an 18-point blowout of Phoenix. This roster has a massive collection of talent, and making sure everyone stays on the same page is the only way to ensure this group gets the most out of themselves.
