In the Minnesota Timberwolves' latest injury update provided on Thursday afternoon, Donte DiVincenzo has officially been downgraded to OUT for the team's road game with the New York Knicks on Friday evening. It will be the first missed game of the season for DiVincenzo.
Donte joins four other players on the Wolves' injury report. Along with DiVincenzo, Jesse Edwards (two-way), Leonard Miller (illness), Tristen Newton (two-way) and Terrence Shannon Jr. (right mid-foot- sprain) are all out against the Knicks on Friday.
Timberwolves projected starting lineup vs Warriors
With DiVincenzo officially a no-go in New York, this will give Chris Finch an opportunity to try something new with Minnesota's starting lineup. Look for him to go with Nickeil Alexander-Walker in the starting unit instead of running back the old starters by bringing in Mike Conley. It seems that Finch remains happier playing Conley off the bench for the time being.
