The Minnesota Timberwolves are riding a five-game win streak and will be put to the test on Wednesday in Denver.
The two teams last met on Jan. 25, a 133-104 Minnesota win. Anthony Edwards poured in 34 points and nine assists. The Timberwolves will need him to have another big game if they want to return to Minneapolis with a win.
Denver is coming off an impressive 140-127 win over Oklahoma City on Monday, behind Nikola Jokic's 35 points, 18 rebounds, and eight assists. The Timberwolves and Nuggets are the last two teams to beat the Thunder, who only have 12 losses on the season.
Wednesday's showdown will almost certainly deliver. Minnesota is playing some of its best basketball of the season, and a win would push the Timberwolves into the top six in the conference.
