The Minnesota Timberwolves will kick off their final road trip of the regular season in Denver to take on the Nuggets, a team they've yet to lose to in 2024-25.
Minnesota is coming off a 123-104 win over Detroit on Sunday. The Timberwolves were down to the Pistons early on, but a second-quarter brawl shifted the momentum in Minnesota's favor. It seemed like the NBA would dish out a few suspensions, but the league didn't announce anything on Monday.
The Timberwolves need all hands on deck for the final push of the regular season. Minnesota is half a game back from No. 6 Golden State in the standings. The Clippers, who are 43-32 like the Timberwolves, are on Minnesota's heels. Securing a playoff berth without going through the Play-In Tournament would be huge for the Timberwolves.
Denver has a lengthy injury report, with Michael Porter Jr. being the only starter not listed. The Nuggets haven't officially clinched a first-round playoff spot, but they have the third-best record in the West. Nikola Jokic missed five games in March with an ankle injury, but he played in Denver's last two games (both wins).
