1. Markelle Fultz

The only player who might sign a multi-year deal worth more than the veteran's minimum on the list, Markelle Fultz spent his previous three seasons earning about $17 million annually. While he's likely not a $17 million per year player, he's worthy of a decent-sized payday.

Once a highly-lauded prospect selected first overall in the 2017 NBA Draft, Fultz's career has taken one of the more interesting paths. The 6-foot-5 guard was the surefire-best overall prospect. He was projected as a high-volume, yet efficient scorer who could knockdown threes and use his supreme athleticism to score around the rim.

While Fultz's athleticism has yielded high field goal percentages, his outside shooting ability mysteriously vanished as soon as he hit the big leagues. Fultz drilled 52 three-pointers as a freshman at Washington, a number he's never managed to replicate in an NBA season.

For whatever reason, outside shooting just isn't in Fultz's wheelhouse. Although he hasn't even shown a willingness to let it go from beyond the arc, there's still value tied to the former Husky's game. Fultz is a dangerous downhill driver who's an adept passer.

The 26-year-old forward would fit in well with Minnesota considering the Wolves are equipped with floor spacers throughout the roster. Only one player on the Wolves doesn't launch threes, and that's Rudy Gobert. However, if Fultz were to make his way to the Twin Cities, he'd likely see a lot of run time alongside Naz Reid, a career 37.1 percent marksman.

Furthermore, Fultz brings an added element of versatile defense to an already stingy unit. At 6-foot-5, with a 6-foot-9 wingspan, the Wolves could use Fultz to defend up to three positions. A defensive backcourt including both the former Magic guard and Nickeil Alexander-Walker would seriously interrupt passing lanes.
