4. Isaia Cordinier - France

France's Isaia Cordinier only averaged 8.8 points in the Olympic games. However, he looked like the third-best player on the French squad in France's bouts against Canada and Germany on the way to the Gold medal match.

Prior to suiting up for France in the Paris Olympics, Cordinier was selected in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. Rather than coming to the States, the French swingman continued to play in his home country of France and later Italy.

Cordinier consistently put up respectable numbers and added value in all facets of the game playing in Europe. Then, the 6-foot-5 guard was granted the opportunity to put his talent on display on a global stage. Over the past month, Cordinier went from reserve guard to starting shooting guard and the fourth-leading scorer amongst all Frenchmen.

The 26-year-old guard scored from all over the court and shot above 47 percent from the field and 43 percent from downtown. Due to a lack of playmakers, Cordinier was thrust into a ball-handling role at times. While he didn't dish out assists, he exhibited his off-the-bounce scoring ability—getting to the rim and launching mid-range jumpers.

Another French shooting guard, Evan Fournier, might make more sense to contend for a roster spot now, but he's five years Cordinier's elder and has seen a steep shooting decline in recent seasons. It's more than likely the former second-rounder will continue to play in Europe for the foreseeable future, but his standout games in the Olympics should garner some NBA interest.
