1. Guerschon Yabusele - France
The breakout player of the gold medal match (in part because of his monstrous poster jam over LeBron James), Guerschon Yabusele's name is surely back on the NBA radar. Yabusele averaged 14.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game during his Olympic stint.
Yabusele is a relatively well-known player after being selected 16th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2016 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-6 forward spent a year abroad before joining the Celtics in 2017. In Yabusele's first season in the association, he averaged just 2.4 points per game across 33 appearances.
Following an unremarkable rookie season, the French forward saw a slight decrease in playing time and averaged a similar 2.3 points per game. After two seasons in Boston, Yabusele was waived. He took his talents to the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) just a month later. Next up, Yabusele returned to France and later signed a one-year, then three-year pact with Real Madrid.
Currently, the French big man is tied to Real Madrid for another season. If an NBA team were to pursue Yabusele, they'd be in for a sizable, $2.5 million buyout. However, his Olympic performance may have been just enough to attract potential suitors.
Yabusele isn't the most orthodox player, but he's an efficient scorer who can space the floor. The 6-foot-6 Frenchman may seem undersized to assume a full-time power forward role. However, his 270-pound frame says otherwise. Yabusele is a mountain of a man and nearly unstoppable when driving downhill. If he continues to knock down three-pointers at a high clip, he won't be playing in Europe for long.
