The Minnesota Timberwolves are massive favorites on the second night of a back-to-back against the Toronto Raptors, but betting on the spread may not be the best move tonight.

Toronto has struggled as of late, losing 14 games in a row, but the Wolves are under .500 against the spread when favored at home.

Instead, I’m looking to the Wolves’ two big men as my favorite player prop targets in this matchup:

Raptors vs. Timberwolves best NBA prop bets today

  • Rudy Gobert OVER 14.5 points
  • Naz Reid OVER 2.5 3-pointers made

Rudy Gobert OVER 14.5 points

This is a great matchup for Rudy Gobert down low with Jakob Poeltl still banged up for the Raptors.

Gobert should have a field day against a weak Raptors frontcourt, and he’s coming into this game with three games of 17 or more points in his last five matchups.

Against Toronto in the season opener, Gobert scored 15 points, and it’s worth noting that Anthony Davis (21 points, 12 rebounds in just 28 minutes) had a field day against Toronto on Tuesday night.

I expect Gobert to get plenty of easy looks tonight.

Naz Reid OVER 2.5 3-pointers made

This is a volume play for Naz Reid, who has done a terrific job filling in for injured All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns.

Since the beginning of March, Reid is shooting 40.4 percent from 3-point range on 6.6 attempts per game, clearing this prop in eight of his 15 games.

The Wolves forward has taken at least five shots from deep in six straight games, including four games with eight or more 3-point attempts.

Toronto ranks 25th in the NBA in opponent 3-pointers made per game, so I expect Reid to easily get his if his attempts stay in the 6-8 range tonight.
